Our mission is to be readily responsive to any calls for services from our citizens regardless of the nature of the call, or the standing of the caller. It is also the mission of this office to be fiscally responsible as well as keep its citizens abreast of matters affecting their safety and community. We are also continuing the education of deputies, as well as implementing modern technology.

The East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Office will uphold the law fairly and firmly, pursue and bring to justice those who break the law, prevent crime, keep the peace, protect and serve, as well as help and reassure the citizens that we serve with integrity, common sense and sound judgment.

Mission of the East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Office
Notice is herby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the East Carroll Parish Law Enforcement District will be held at the regular meeting place at the East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Annex Office at 301 First Street, Lake Providence, LA on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rate(s) after reassessment and rolling forward to millage rate(s) not to exceed the prior year's maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenue to be collected in the next tax year from the increased millage is $582,999.90, and the amount of the increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $38, 546.60.
